Very very cute cafe.
Super nice staff. They were very accommodating and agreed to give me something that was not on the menu without any additional costs.
Pepper and pistachio kakigori was almost 2,000 yen, and it sounds like a lot, but they give you also lots of nuts for this price. So the price does not seem to be that high anymore.
I came on a rainy day, maybe that's why there was zero waiting time.

Visit for shaved ice.
Ordered pepper and pitachio flavor.
I wonder about flavor combination of pepper and sweet at first but after eating till the bottom, the pepper flavor poping out and make a great kick balancing down the sweetness and pitachio flavor. It is better than expected. Delicious!!
The store has a bit limit of space and sometime people talking a bit loud but still in acceptable level.
I want to comeback trying other flavor, more and more.
I made reservation via the website. Recommend to book inadvanced.

《Gourmet Report》
This shaved ice shop, located on my walking route, always has a long line.
It's open two or three times a week.
It seems to be open almost every Saturday, but I often saw a line outside before opening, so I decided to visit on a weekday—it was the perfect choice!
I decided what I wanted to order before entering the shop.
I was a little surprised when everyone seated looked at me at once when I entered.
I paid first, then was shown to my seat.
All the seats are stylish and photogenic, an

This shop serves delicious, unique shaved ice.
The ice is incredibly light and fluffy.
The menu changes with the seasons, but each one is delicious thanks to the perfectly balanced syrup and toppings.
(The menu is posted on Instagram.)
On this day, I ordered the spring-only Sakura Mage Shaved Ice.
I also topped it with cherry blossom cream.
The mizu yokan (sweet bean paste) shaved ice is smooth and exquisite.
This shop is very popular, and there's often a line even before it opens.
I arrived around 10:30 AM (1.5 hours before opening) and was the fifth person in line, so I was able to get in

Cafe Beret is located about a 15-minute walk from Musashi-Koyama.
Most customers are solo, so the cafe is very quiet.
Even if you come as a couple, you won't find many people talking.
Everyone eats a bowl or two and then leaves quickly.
The shaved ice here is excellent.
My personal recommendation is the fig shaved ice.
It would have been perfect if they had served hot tea instead of cold tea in the winter.
Payment can be made in cash or with PayPay.
Strollers are allowed inside the cafe.
