I visited Yoyogi Park last week during a short break between work commitments, and the contrast was striking—in the best possible way. Surrounded by one of the busiest urban areas in Tokyo, this vast green space feels like a completely different world the moment you step inside. The park is incredibly easy to access, just a 2–3 minute walk from Harajuku Station, yet it offers wide open lawns, tall trees, and a sense of calm that’s rare in the city. It’s the perfect place to reset your mind, even if you only have a short amount of time. Near the entrance, I picked up a nikuman (steamed meat b

Beautiful area of Cherry Blossoms Garden located inside Yoyogi Park. Very beautiful during spring when the sakura are in full bloom. The area is known for its large number of cherry trees forming a nice pink canopy, making it a popular place for hanami (cherry blossom viewing). The park itself is large, with wide open spaces where people gather for picnics and walks under the cherry blossoms. During peak season it becomes very crowded, but the atmosphere remains lively and enjoyable. Enjoy 🌸😎🌸🧘‍♀️🌸🧘🌸🙏🌸.

It is a very cool central park type area. Reccomend a visit of you are in shibuya to just go in and relax. I reccomend a visit during spring if you are a foreigner visiting as it seems like it would be a fantastic and lively place. Visited In late January and people were out and about enjoying the park, lots of runners. Not a ton of benches to sit and enjoy but as long as you bring a blanket or something to sit on it should be a great experience.

I walked here from Shibuya (via Harajuku) and it was the perfect way to end a busy day of exploring. I arrived here around sunset. Even on a crowded weekend, the atmosphere was lovely with so many locals out enjoying picnics. The yellow autumn leaves were stunning! Just a heads up: the fallen ginkgo seeds do smell a bit "funky," but the views are worth it. Overall it's a great place to relax and catch your breath in the middle of Tokyo.

Right in the core of Tokyo is Yoyogi Park. There are many trees, paths, open fields, gardens and dog runs. As well as bike lanes, fish ponds etc. What struck me is how well maintained everything is. All of the trees are healthy and nicely spaced out. There is no garbage or trash anywhere and the walking paths are neat and tidy. Even the bark on the trees is unmolested eg no carvings. We even came across a small garden with no fence yet no interference eg no evidence of anyone walking off the paths or plants being disturbed. Many dogs on leashes and yet no dog remains (if you know what I mea
