The full picture
This is a nostalgic shopping arcade located directly in front of Osaki Station that preserves a gritty, retro Showa-era atmosphere amidst a heavily modernized business district.
It suits solo travelers and urban explorers looking for a glimpse of old Tokyo or a quick, unpretentious meal.
Visit during the evening to experience the full atmospheric contrast between the neon station lights and the aged corridors.
💡 Be aware that several long-standing shops and eateries have recently closed, so the selection of active businesses may be limited.

Seika has closed down, and the place I had written a review about is gone too. What a shame. I bought an apartment in Toyomachi just under 30 years ago, and I've been going there at least once a year to eat miso ramen. It had fermented peanuts in it... The voices of the old man and woman with those voices will live forever in this place. I think I'll hear them if I pass by here until I die.

The area around Osaki Station has been modernized, but the Showa era remains in front of the station.
