Sayuri World

This was an amazing experience! Honestly, my only problem was that I didn't bring enough money—I couldn't stop buying food for the animals because I wanted to feed everyone 🙈. The best part is being able to go directly into the enclosures with lemurs and birds. Tip: Definitely visit the second lemur enclosure, they are much hungrier and more active than the first ones! I also loved the giant tortoises; they follow you around for veggies but are very gentle. You can even feed giraffes and binturongs (bearcats). They are all so cute!

This is a unique type of zoo where gentle animals roam freely and visitors can interact with them. You can even buy food to feed them directly. It’s a dream come true for animal lovers. Please note that strollers are not allowed, so parents with infants who can’t walk yet should take this into consideration. The admission fee is quite reasonable given the quality of the experience, so I highly recommend it. I’d love to visit again. As a matter of course, this is only for those who can treat the animals with respect.

This was recommended to us. We visited mid week during school term in early September. There were only a few visitors there with us so it was like a private visit. On entry, you have to pay 1000 yen cash in the machine to enter the car park. Then for entry it is 1500 yen per adult. You pay at the machine which accepts cash or credit card. At the entrance you can buy a basket of food to feed the animals. This is a must as it was so much fun. Our favourite animal is the giraffe. They stick out their tongue for you to place a small piece of banana on it before eating it. They were so cute and bel

Very good petting zoo. Tickets can be bought bundled at the elephant kingdom. There is also a shuttle bus between the elephant kingdom and sayuri world. Quite a fun place.

We liked this place so much the first time that we decided to come and visit a second time. The second time was not as pleasant as the first. The facilities look as if they are not as kept up as before and the smell was awful. It’s fun to be able to pet the animals, but they were quite dirty this time around. I think if they provided brushes it would be fun to help keep the animals clean, especially the capybara and tortoises.
