Koami Shrine is a small but very famous Shinto shrine located in central Tokyo. It is especially known as a power spot for good luck, money, and protection from bad fortune. Even though it is in the city, the shrine has a calm and spiritual atmosphere. Many people visit to pray for success, safe travels, and good financial luck. The shrine is easy to visit and does not take much time, so it’s perfect to stop by while sightseeing nearby. If you want to experience a local Japanese shrine and learn about Japanese beliefs, Koami Shrine is highly recommended.

Visited this viral temple for fortune on a weekday afternoon. Line moves really quick so we waited for 5 mins max. Best part is they allow you / encourage you to wash your money for good luck. A different activity to do.

The grounds themselves are not large and it is a relatively small shrine, but because of that, it feels like a very concentrated and meaningful space. Even on weekdays there are many worshippers, and depending on the time, you may have to wait your turn, which shows how much faith and expectation this place attracts. It is said that washing money here and then using it will improve one’s financial luck, and it was impressive to s
