Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa

If you have 1–2 hours of free time in Tokyo and are traveling with a young child under 5, I think Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa is a good option. The aquarium is not very large and there aren’t many marine animals, so adults might feel that it’s a bit simple. However, for young children, the size feels just right and they can still really enjoy the experience. The dolphin show is not very spectacular, but it was full of smiles and laughter, which made it special in its own way. Its good for kids. It is not usual Aquarium. They have Dolphin show, which is really good. They also have few rides (to be paid separately). Its very small Aquarium, but other activies makes it good to visit once. It is close to Shinagawa Station, so you can spend some time before going home.

Fabulous aquarium! The caretakers were meticulously cleaning and tending to the animals. Easy to navigate, so fun for all ages from toddlers to elders. They have 2 rides, a carousel and swinging pirate ship, fun for kids (and kids at heart). Learn about aquatic life, and watch the dolphins perform. They have sharks, jellyfish, otters, penguins, piranhas, rays and so much more. The animals all seemed happy and plump! Aqua based menu and snacks was a fun way to have a treat with the displays. A must see for anyone interested in marine life!

Very cool dolphins shows. Kid loves all the exhibits and animal shows even we don’t understand japanese. They could really use some English translation during the shows. The lady that was station selling rain coat wasn’t the kindness. We love the in and out privilege to eat at restaurant outside. The dolphins encounter was cool but the photo is a little expensive. The photo price was almost 3x the encounter fee. There are no water fountain so bring water.
