Tokyo Skytree is an impressive landmark and one of the best places to experience the scale of Tokyo from above. The tower itself is massive and beautifully designed, especially at night when it lights up against the skyline. 6/10 experience for a Saturday evening. The observation decks offered a generic overview of the city. Security was strict before we board the elevator. My biggest gripe is the crazy wait time to go down from the Galleria… it took 50min total for us. I had more fun exploring the shops on the 4F floor. Worth an experience if you’re really passionate about the city overview, otherwise you’d have better luck with other observation decks. Side note, the service was lovely.

I went here with some friends in early January. We bought our tickets prior as we heard there can be a bit of a wait to buy tickets. It was a fantastic experience! It was my 3rd day in Tokyo and it was great looking over Tokyo and just how big it is. Would recommend for everyone visiting Tokyo to come here! Be careful if you are afraid of heights! We also checked out the collaboration at the time which made it even more worth it!

If you’re visiting Tokyo, I definitely recommend checking out Tokyo Skytree honestly, it’s way more impressive than Tokyo Tower! It’s much taller, and the view you get from the top is absolutely amazing. You can see the entire city spread out beneath you, and it’s such a cool experience. Personally, I think nighttime is the best time to go. The city lights look incredible, and it’s not as crowded as during sunset or daytime. Sunset can get super packed it’s hard to even find a good spot to look out! During the day there are usually more families and kids around, so it can feel a bit busier.
